Welcome to 14 Marina View; an impressive contemporary Lake District apartment, comfortably sleeping 4 guests and located a short stroll from the charming town of Bowness on Windermere. Is this the perfect base for your Lake District holiday?

Pull into the private parking space directly outside the apartment and take in the beautiful marina surroundings. Sitting pretty in our brand new Bowness Apartments, feel yourself relax and unwind the moment you arrive.

Step through the apartment door where you will find the strikingly modern apartment decorated throughout in architectural grey Farrow & Ball Plummet, you will be led into the entrance hall and leave your muddy boots behind in the handy utility to your left. Continue ahead and slip through into the open-plan living-kitchen-diner. The stone tiled effect floor paired with marble kitchen counter tops provides a super stylish place to prepare canapés and cocktails as friends sit chatting on the white leather stools at the breakfast bar.

The kitchen is equipped with all the appliances you’ll need during your stay; electric hob and oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, wine fridge and a wide range of crockery, glasses and pans.

Curl up and relax on the grey leather chesterfield sofas with a good book and enjoy serene westerly marina views out of the bi-fold doors. A modern media unit fitted with an LG SMART television and Bang and Olufsen portable Bluetooth speaker completes this space. Displaying superb original colourful artwork of Wastewater by artist Jay Nottingham lends a sense of playfulness to the room.

Open up the bi-fold doors to the covered balcony and enjoy a blissful brunch on the adjustable height outdoor dining table or for a magical experience cosy up with a blanket as you watch the sun set over the Langdale Pikes.

Next door you will discover the beautiful marina view Master bedroom, where a king size slay bed welcomes you after a fun filled day exploring the local Lakeland villages. Mirrored wardrobes, mains operated electric window blind, a wall-mounted SMART television and a sleek dressing table including GHD hairdryer and straighteners creates a sense of hotel luxe. The modern en-suite features a rainfall shower, toilet, sink and large heated mirror.

Just across the landing is Bedroom 2 – a spacious twin room that is perfect for friends or children. Mirrored wardrobes and stylish white bedroom furniture complement the bespoke bedroom chair and footstool. Striking Daniel Cooper charcoal artwork of Old Man of Coniston, Helvellyn and Catbells adorns the walls along with a wall-mounted SMART television and XBOX One with wireless gaming controller for gaming lovers and mains operated electric windows blind.

Slip out onto the landing, where the door to the right opens to reveal the family shower room with a walk-in waterfall shower, toilet, sink and heated mirror and GHD hairdryer.

If you are looking for a Lake District retreat tucked away just outside of central Bowness on Windermere, look no further than 14 Marina View. Prepare to make memories that will last a lifetime and keep you coming back time again.

Fabulous!
5 stars
This is the first time we stayed at Windermere Marina Village, so we didn't know quite what to expect, but. . .WOW. Excellent. Absolutely no complaints what-so-ever -- thanks to a covered balcony and plenty of blankets and throws, even the rainy weather was pleasant! ;-) Seriously, the apartment was lovely -- really well furnished, with everything we could have asked for in terms of amenities. The staff were excellent -- friendly and helpful (we took advantage of the 10% discount for boat trips arranged through them). The location is excellent -- an easy walk into Bowness. We were travelling with my mother (who is in her 80s and has some mobility issues) and the complex was great for that -- there's a lift, so accessing the flat itself was not a problem, and parking is close to the main door. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms meant we had plenty of privacy, but were able to spend time together comfortably as well. That said, I couldn't help thinking that this would also be a fabulous place for a solo traveller, as it's so safe and comfortable, with such easy access to town and to transport links.Really fabulous overall. We're so glad we visited and we would recommend to anyone without hesitation!

Family birthday celebration
4.8 stars
We have stayed at Marina Village a few times but have not visited for a while. It was a popular choice for us to spend a weekend celebrating our daughter's 30th birthday and it did not disappoint. The standard of the apartment was great with good quality fixtures and fittings. The location is good as it is a short walk to Hawkshead ferry and only a 15/20 min stroll into the centre of Bowness to all the attractions and restaurants. Marina Village is nice and quiet so ideal for relaxation. Plenty to do in the area and nice restaurants to eat in. Was great to park the car up for the weekend and walk everywhere.

Lovely holiday apartment in beautiful surroundings.
3.8 stars
Lovely apartments. Very modern & clean. Only negative is road noise at the rear of 14 which would make us reconsider coming back to this apartment. It is our favourite holiday location & we have been numerous times. Our latest booking was for our 30th wedding anniversay. Would have been a nice gesture if staff had provided the prosecco being given out to others. Apparently this was not allowed as we had already been given a discount! Also we left a couple of things in the apartment. The reception staff did not phone to let us know, just waited for us to realise when we arrived home!

Congratulations on your 30th wedding anniversary and thank you for taking the time to write a review of your recent stay.We are sorry to hear that you were disturbed by noise from the nearby road. Although the road is screened by trees, the low noise from passing traffic can sometimes be heard from guests who are light sleepers or are used to a quiet sleep environment. The bottles of Prosecco are included as part of a separate booking promotion, and regrettably we can only provide one type of offer per stay. As you had taken advantage of the 10% offer code, it was not possible to add another booking promotion, unfortunately. As soon as we are made aware of left items and what guests would like us to do with them, we arrange to have them returned to you as swiftly as possible.

Weekend in the Sun
4.5 stars
Well-appointed, immaculate apartment with a wonderful outlook. Sadly no dining table, only a breakfast bar. Central heating had a mind of its own especially as we didnt need to use it - it came on anyway! Overall however, an excellent living space and only a short walking distance from the excellent Boathouse Restaurant and bar.

Thank you for the review, We are pleased you had a nice stay with us. The central heating is on a thermostat and reception and maintanance would of been happy to advise if you were warm enough and the temperature had dropped to make the heating come on.

This apartment was stunning- ultra modern. Fortunately we had a techie with us who instantly could work all the electrical devices (though we didnt need the electric bug catcher). The location was brilliant for walking to local amenities and short drives to Ambleside and Ulswater. We hiked in Ulswater and hired kayaks just down the road from the marina to explore lake Windermere, which was excellent fun. This was an enjoyable holiday with food and fitness.

Superb apartment in Bowness
5 stars
Beautiful place to stay, everything you need for a luxury stay. The only disappointment was the lack of a dining table, partially my own fault as I didnt check it only had a breakfast bar! Could do with a few more mugs, only 6 for 4 guests which meant having to wash them rather than putting them in the dishwasher, it was mentioned to the reception team who were going to look into it. Staff very helpful, a lovely and peaceful location and this one was west facing so you could sit out on the balcony and watch the sun setting.
