Welcome to 24 Marina View; a stunning penthouse apartment occupying a central position in the heart of the Lake District National Park, just a short stroll from the vibrant town of Bowness on Windermere.

Recently completed in 2022, this relaxing open plan apartment sleeps up to 4 guests, has its own private balcony and outdoor dining area and has been thoughtfully designed to ensure a truly relaxing stay in this enviable location.

Step into the spacious hallway, cosily carpeted underfoot, which offers hanging space for coats and hats or continue through the door ahead into the handy utility – perfect for storing wellingtons after adventuring in the Lake District!

From the hallway, take a right into the contemporary styled Master bedroom, where the artwork adorning the walls captures the natural beauty of the local surroundings. Scandi style cushions add comfort to this spacious super King size bedroom, furnished with built-in storage, wall-mounted television and offering delightful views across the marina. Begin the day with a refreshing waterfall shower. Or, relax after a day of boating on Lake Windermere, rambling on the fells or shopping in the local Lakeland villages, with a long hot soak within the ensuite.

Returning to the entrance hall continue through to the inviting open-plan living room and kitchen. The kitchen, open yet zoned, provides the perfect space to show off your culinary skills. The fully equipped kitchen is fitted with all the appliances designed to make your stay as easy and enjoyable as possible with a Tassimo coffee machine, electric hob and oven, fridge, freezer, wine fridge, dishwasher, microwave and a wide range of crockery, glasses and pans – everything you need to dine in style.

A dining table with brightly coloured chairs is the perfect place to gather with loved ones for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If the sun is shining you may prefer to dine alfresco on the balcony, accessed via the bi-fold doors from the living space, surrounded by the peaceful marina views.

The spacious and inviting living room is a sociable space which is ideal for couples and families to come together and enjoy quality time. The high ceiling amplifies the light which streams in through the bi-fold doors and fun and colourful Lake District art dresses the walls. Soft brown leather furniture ensures comfort ensues, providing the perfect place to snuggle down and watch a film on the 65” SMART television.

Retrace your steps and continue down the hallway to Bedroom 2; a large twin bedroom (can be made up as super King on request) with mirrored wardrobes, dressing table and wall-mounted television. Light pours in through the dormer window which offers views across the boats moored at the marina.

Finally, discover a luxurious shower room, slate-tiled and furnished with a toilet, wash basin and large walk-in shower.

Parking is so convenient; an allocated, covered parking space is reserved in the garage area under the apartment. Additional parking for one car is available on-site should you need it.

Fourth visit to Windermere Marina Village and it did not disappoint. Late arriving due to extreme bad weather but reception were understanding and very helpful, key and instructions left in safe place. On arrival apartment was warm with plenty of tea, coffee and milk ready for a very welcome hot drink, even treats for Molly the dog! Apartment beautifully appointed, with amazing views over the marina, everything perfect! We had a wonderful week, with only one disappointment, the apartment is no longer dog friendly so unable to rebook this property!

Stayed a few times here now and love it. Think the cushions could do with cleaning or updating on couch plus additional throws. It's such a big apartment it does get cold. Otherwise lovely as always and would recommend.

What a phenomenal apartment. It was spotlessly clean and really had the wow factor from the moment we walked in. Spacious and very well equipped with everything we could have needed & more. We loved the new artwork which made us feel right at home. Id love to say well be back but sadly I dont think dogs are permitted - it wont be our last time at the Marina Village however.

We have been regular visitors to Windermere Marina Village over the years and never fail to be impressed by the outstanding accommodation and access to nearby facilities. This time we tried one of the new apartments and will definitely be booking again. Great customer service, high standards of cleanliness and beautiful furnishings and decor. The Boathouse Restaurant on site is always a massive plus and a lovely Lakeside walk into Bowness offers a further range of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants amongst other tourist attractions. After a walk in the hills 24 Marina View is the perfect place to come back to although be prepared for a hike up the stairs to the fourth floor as the lift is probably the slowest weve ever been in!!

Excellent Marina View in Penthouse Apartment

From the minute we drove into the allocated undercover parking slot, using the lift into the private penthouse apartment to opening the door to the apartment we were absolutely impressed. The apartment was stylish, large, clean and very comfortable and the balcony provided an amazing view of the marina. Everything about our marina stay was 100%.

Another Excellent Stay

This was our fourth stay at Windermere Marina Village and our second at 24 Marina View.Every stay has been excellent and the apartments clean, modern and well equipped.24 Marina View particularly has the wow factor. Loads of open space in the open plan living, kitchen & dining area and bedrooms/bathrooms plenty of space.On arrival the apartment was very warm due to the weather at the time and we went to reception for a fan. Reception was closed but there was a guy outside who asked what we needed and he provided a fan for us. Didnt catch his name but wanted to mention it and say thanks.Balcony on 24 Marina View could have done with being a bit larger but obviously this would have been done on design and not a major issue at all.Walk into Bowness is not too bad and taxi is reasonably cheap too.Thanks again Windermere Marina and we cant wait to stay again.

Wouldn't choose anywhere else.

We have stayed at Windermere Marina on numerous occasions & as the title says, we wouldn't stay anywhere else. The apartments are very well appointed, spaceous & comfortable & if the weather is nice, (which it has been in the past, not so much this stay.) sitting on your private balcony, watching the world go by, is the perfect place to be. It is a very relaxing, chilled space to stay in, wether you have been out all day taking part in all the sporty/walking adventures or simply ambling through all the lovely areas. It is a short walk into town, where there are some great restaurants, bars & coffee shops, but, if you want to stay close to home, The Boathouse offers lovely food, nice wines (everything you would want really.) a really lovely restaurant & very friendly, nice people who work there. Would totally recommend the Marina for a vacation to The Lakes & we will be booking again for next year.

Luxury apartment in a stunning location.

This was our 6th stay at Windermere Marina Village, this apartment which is the penthouse, was by far the nicest we have stayed in. Everything in the apartment felt luxurious and we absolutely loved our week stay, we only wished we had booked a few extra days! The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. The only thing that we did ask reception about was if there was a fan available, we found the bedrooms very warm. The reception staff were so helpful and went over and above to find us 2 x fans, so thank you, it was very much appreciated! On an evening we loved sitting with the bifold doors wide open, the view is amazing. We were also lucky enough to have a few sunny evenings where we could sit on the balcony, it was lovely with a glass of wine watching the boats entering and leaving the marina. We left our stay feeling relaxed after a lovely week in the Lakes and this apartment was the perfect base for our stay. We would have booked this apartment again in a heartbeat but unfortunately as the property will allow dogs from the 1st July, this will stop us from rebooking in this particular apartment again, which we are really sad about.

If you have to, or want to, cancel your booking after it has been confirmed, you must let us know in writing as quickly as possible, this can be via email to info@wmv.co.uk  but must be from the email address of the confirmed booking. If we can resell the break that you had booked you will be entitled to a refund less a cancellation fee.

Before the balance due date of your booking changes to your booking can be made subject to availability, additional charges may apply. Requests to make changes must be made by email to info@wmv.co.uk from the email address of the confirmed booking. The reservations team are available every day between 9am and 5.30pm.

Do I pay a deposit when I book? When do I pay the balance?

A deposit of a third is taken at the time of booking, the remaining balance is due 6 weeks before arrival – you will receive a reminder email 24 hours before the balance payment is due.

Can I change the dates of my break?

What is your cancellation policy?

When is Reception open?

Reception is open each day between 9am and 5.30pm, after this time an emergency contact can be found on the reception door or in your property information

Can I check in before 4pm or check out after 10am?

Unfortunately we don’t offer an early check in or late check out option.

Can I park my car before check in and after check out?

On your arrival day and departure day you are welcome to park onsite. Before check in just call into reception to register with us. When you check out let reception know you will be leaving your car so we can give you access through the security barrier when you leave. 

Can I arrive after 5.30pm or check out before 9am

Yes, we can arrange to leave your property keys in a secure key safe for you to collect. Please contact reception on 015394 46551 before 5pm on your arrival day to arrange this.
 
If you are leaving before reception opens just drop your keys in the key drop off box located outside reception.

What if I have a specific question about a property?

Our onsite reservation team are happy to answer any queries that you may have before or after booking your stay with us – email info@wmv.co.uk or call 015394 46551, they are available 7 days a week between 9am and 5.30pm.

Is parking available? How do we access Windermere Marina Village?

Each apartment has at least one allocated parking space close by, a second car can be parked onsite but spaces cannot be reserved.
 
You will receive 2 fobs for the security barriers that control vehicular access at Windermere Marina Village for the duration of your stay – if you will have more than 2 cars please contact reception prior to your arrival to discuss your requirements.

Do you have EV charging points?

Guests staying in 6,8 and 22 Marina View have use of the EV chargers in the apartment parking garage.
For guests in other properties EV charging is currently not available. The nearest charging points are at Booths supermarket in Windermere

What is provided in the apartment?

All of the beds will be made with linen for your arrival, if your property has a pull down bed in the living area the bedding for this will be in the wardrobe. A bath sheet and hand towel are provided per person for the maximum occupancy of your property.
 
Toilet roll, kitchen roll, bin liners, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, dish cloth, sponge, tea towels and oven glove are all supplied. If your property has a coffee pod machine one pod per person is provided.
 
We don’t supply any food, drink, toiletries or detergent for the washing machine.

Do you have pet friendly properties?

Selected properties allow 2 dogs per booking, a charge of £40 per dog applies.
Windward Townhouse 4 allows 3 dogs per booking.

We regret that we don’t accept cats in any properties.

How do I pay my security deposit, what is it for and when will it be returned?

We ask all guests for a security deposit, pre-authorised against your credit or debit card. This is in case there is any damage caused to the property, you lose the property keys during your stay or if you break any of the booking conditions that were agreed to at the time of booking.
The money is simply reserved and then released afterwards, this will be within 10 days of your departure. The transaction will not show as a sale or refund – it will appear as a pending transaction until it is released.
We will contact you a few days prior to your arrival to request card details, alternatively you are welcome to call us in the week leading up to your arrival.

Can I extend my holiday?

Extensions to bookings may be available dependent on property availability. To check availability please contact our reservations team.

Do you have cots and high chairs?

Travel Cots are available to hire for £7 with linen included. Please note the mattress provided in the travel cot is the standard one as supplied. Thicker or additional mattresses are not available. High chairs including straps are available to hire for £5.

Is there a supermarket nearby / Can I book a supermarket delivery?

The nearest shop is Tesco Express in Bowness where you’ll also find a Co-Op further up the hill. A larger Booths supermarket is in Windermere with free parking – postcode LA23 1QA
 
Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Asda offer a home delivery service to Windermere Marina Village. Please ensure you arrange for delivery after you have checked in as we are unable to accept food deliveries on your behalf. All properties are located via a security barrier – please speak to reception on arrival for delivery access.

Can I walk in to Bowness On Windermere from Windermere Marina Village?

Yes! Bowness On Windermere is a 15 to 20 minute walk from Windermere Marina Village.  A lake shore path takes you into the village, you can pick up a map from reception.

Can I have a parcel delivered?

Reception are happy to accept parcel deliveries between 9am and 5pm. We recommend that you do not use your property address as couriers are unable to access site. Parcels must be collected from reception – please include the lead booking name on the delivery address. Windermere Marina Village, Bowness on Windermere, Cumbria, LA23 3JQ and let reception know you are expecting a delivery.

Can I bring a boat or hire a boat?

A small number of holiday moorings are available with holiday properties. These are subject to availability and charges apply. Please call the reservations team to discuss before booking your accommodation.
 
Windermere Wakesurfing offer tuition and charter from Windermere Marina – please contact them directly for further information.
Horizon Charter offer luxury boat charter on Windermere for up to 10 people, guests of Windermere Marina Village receive a 10% discount on all bookings. Please quote your booking ID to validate the discount.

All other boats at Windermere Marina Village are privately owned and are not available for hire or charter.

Can I bring a canoe / SUP / rowing boat?

For safety reasons we don’t allow unpowered craft in the marina – customers are welcome to access Windermere Lake from our small beach / BBQ area but all equipment must be stored in your property or vehicle when not in use.

Can I BBQ at my holiday property?

For safety reasons and consideration of others BBQs are not permitted at holiday rental properties. There are permanent BBQ stations available at the beach area – you will need to bring all equipment with you. Reservations are not permitted – the BBQs and seating are not guaranteed.
