A little bit of luxury

We had a wonderful stay at Windermere Marina Village and would happily return.
We arrived just after 4pm and went straight to the onsite restaurant. The restaurant was spotless, the staff were welcoming and friendly, and the food was exceptional. We tried several small plates, although they certainly didn't feel small. Everything was delicious and we ended up eating there three times during our four day stay.
The apartment had everything we needed. The welcome pack with fresh milk, tea, coffee and sugar was a lovely touch. A couple of biscuits would have been a nice extra after a long journey. The kitchen was very well equipped, although we didn't cook during our stay.
The views from the apartment were beautiful and we really enjoyed sitting out on the balcony. A couple of reclining sun loungers would make it even better. The location was ideal, around a 15 minute walk to the lake, making it a perfect base for exploring the area.
All of the staff we met were genuinely friendly, helpful and a credit to the resort.
A few small things could be improved. A small onsite shop selling everyday essentials would be useful. The bedroom would benefit from curtains as well as the blind, as the room became very bright early in the morning. The shower pressure was quite poor and, as the shower is over a high bath, a walk in shower would be much easier for many guests.
The only real downside was the value for money. It felt quite expensive for a three night stay, especially with a 4pm check in and a 10am check out.
Overall, we had a fantastic break and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The accommodation, restaurant, views and excellent staff made it a memorable trip, and we would definitely consider staying again.

A lovely holiday in the Lakes

Weve just returned from a lovely week staying in this apartment. It was clean , well equipped and maintained and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We have been to the marina village about 5 times so far and would recommend it to all . We will be back!

First Class Apartment

A fantastic apartment with lovely high quality furniture, kitchen cabinets, crockery, cutlery, towels, bedding, etc. Everything in the apartment was in great condition and the apartment was immaculately clean when we arrived.
Excellent layout that felt very roomy for a couple.
Bed extremely comfortable. We stayed during a heatwave and brought a couple of fans with us, but it might be worth the owners having a fan in the apartment during the summer months.
Beautiful views over the marina, and it was great to have a private covered balcony as well as the french doors with juliet balcony.
The apartment building and communal areas were also really well maintained.
With the fantastic weather it felt like we were holidaying abroad, but without the hassle of flying!
Would have preferred a more powerful shower. A screened walk-in shower with hose and rainfall shower-head would have been preferable to the shower over the bath with shower curtain, but that is just personal preference.
We had a brilliant week and loved the apartment so much that weve already booked another stay!

Fabulous Accommodation

This was our first stay at the Windermere marina and we can thoroughly recommend it . The reception staff were very helpful and friendly and the check in process was very efficient. We were extremely impressed with the accommodation which was very clean and well equipped. We used the onsite restaurant and the staff couldnt have been more helpful, the food was good. We would definitely recommend to others .

A wonderful apartment- spacious , clean , ( as a pet friendly apartment I was worried it would smell of dog but it didnt at all)

We had a fantastic stay at Apartment 48. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the Village staff who were very informative and went through all the information on the apartment, the marina and the surrounding area and activities on offer.
The apartment was fully equipped with high end goods and had everything required for a wonderful stay. The view of the marina with the Christmas decorations were a fantastic touch and made us feel so at home. New Years Eve party at the Marina View was the icing on the cake. Brilliant food, drink and entertainment. Highly recommend the marina stay and look forward to a return visit. Only issue which is nit picking and minor, Tv in bedroom needs retuning which we couldnt do with the remote provided and the hoover was rather smelly and needs a clean.

Being right on the Marina the view is beautiful
Close to Bowness, just a 10 minute gentle stroll (along footpaths not roads!) your in the centre, from where you can take a cruise, enjoy everything Bowness has to offer, or get regular buses to Windermere, Keswick, Kendal and more.

What a fantastic place.

Firstly, thankyou!
The staff gave us a wonderful welcome to the Marina Village. Parking right outside the entrance door to our apartment block made unloading luggage very easy. Our mid week arrival was quiet and very relaxed, the weekend turned busier with the bar becoming lively, but not loud or annoying.
A short walk into Bowness along the lakes edge is nice and there's plenty of space for dogs too. We've recommended the Marina Village to some friends who are bringing teenagers. And I know they're probably going to end up on the lake somehow.
We never felt the need to drive anywhere as there's plenty to do.

Amazing holiday apartments

We stayed in apartment 48 and had an amazing time.
The apartment was much more spacious than we expected. It is very clean and had everything you needed for a stay provided.
Especially the kitchen is well stocked.
Lovely thick bathroom towels.
The view is fantastic. Very relaxing to sit on the balcony or in the living room, watching the marina.
The location is exactly what we wanted. Only a short walk into town but far enough from the hustle and bustle of it.
The short walk of 10-15 minutes is very pretty and takes you along the lake.
We are hoping to come back very soon.

Perfect location

We spent 4 days at apartment 48 and found it very comfortable and spotlessly clean with everything we needed.
The marina village itself is the perfect location for a peaceful and relaxing stay by the water. We would have loved to have spent more time out on our balcony but unfortunately the weather wasnt great, however we still managed to have a few drinks out there.
We enjoyed walking into Bowness along the lakeside path and had a very nice Sunday lunch in the Marina view restaurant although a bit pricey!

Very pleased with our stay at Windermere apartment 48. Clean, modern, well equipped and comfortable. Glad we chose to stay here rather than in the town. Parking was easy and we liked the walk along the lakeside into Bowness. We didnt even use the car for several days because we walked to the pier and caught a boat to another destination on the lake. The office booked a Mountain Goat ten lakes minibus tour for us at a discounted, and they picked us up at the marina reception.

Stay at Apartment 48

We were recommended to stay at the Windermere Apartments by a friend who said it was lovely. When we arrived we are welcomed by a friendly receptionist and we were delighted that we could enter the apartment immediately even though it was only 2pm. After 6 hours travelling this was ideal. We had a parking space right by the door to our block. The apartment smelt clean and looked smart from the outside. Inside it was clearly clean and fresh with a lovely carpet. Everything looked very nice. The kitchen was very well equipped and easy to use Microwave, oven, dishwasher etc. All cutlery, crockery was very good. We were provided with milk, coffee, tea etc and dishwasher tablets/soap/cloths etc. As this is luxury apartments a complimentary little basket of goodies would have been nice like biscuits etc. It would have been good to have washing machine tablets available too - even just enough for one or two washes. The TV was good and a nice touch to have a smaller one in the bedroom too. The red sofa was a little uncomfortable and I would think would need changing soon. The bedroom was good with a comfortable bed, although he duvet was rather thick for summer. The bathroom was good although as a luxury apartment I would have liked a separate shower (not just over the bath which is awkward) and also the shower wasnt very strong, although it was hot. I also think a complimentary shower gel/soap and hair shampoo would be a lovely touch. The balcony was lovely with a super view of the marina. Cushions on the chairs would have been nice although we didnt use it much due to rain! The apartment is next to the boathouse restaurant which is a nice place to eat however we were not warned about the incredibly loud music on Saturday night and noise which didnt stop until 12.10am. We were horrified but thankfully it was peaceful for the rest of our stay but be warned about Friday and Saturday night if you are in Apartment 48 as no doubt it will be noisy again. However we still think the apartment was lovely and so close to everything we wanted to do at the lakes, plus close enough to walk into town for provisions.

We have been coming here for many years and cant fault it. We have also used this apartment numerous times, this time we noticed that there has been some renovations which were very tasteful. This apartment is ideal for two people. We would go so many times if it wasnt perfect.

Good base for day sailing

We have stayed in this apartment before, and were so pleased with it that we came back for a second visit. We moored our sailing boat in the marina and used the apartment as a base for day sailing and other outings. It is very comfortable and spacious with the added bonus of a covered balcony (useful when it was raining!). Only criticism would be that crockery/cutlery/cooking utensils are at a minimum which means that the full size dish washer is going on half full or less.
