Park up on the private driveaway and step through the front door into the spacious hallway, kick off those muddy walking boots and prepare to relax and unwind in your holiday retreat.

On the ground floor, the Master bedroom has a sumptuous hotel style super King-sized bed and sliding doors to a private terrace – the ideal spot to enjoy a peaceful cup of coffee. It also boasts a 46” SMART television, perfect for savouring lingering lie ins with breakfast in bed. You’ll find a stunning en-suite shower room, decorated with navy subway tiles containing a walk-in shower, toilet and wash basin.

Retrace your steps to the hallway to discover a handy internal door to the garage, the perfect space for outdoor equipment such as paddleboards and bicycles or for parking a second vehicle.

A sociable, open plan living, kitchen and dining space awaits on the first floor, complete with a large, forest green sofa, cosy armchairs and a 55” SMART television with sound bar, the perfect spot to host a get together with friends and family.

For moments of quietude, slide open the doors onto the balcony, welcoming in the soft summer breeze in warmer months and retreat to the decked balcony overlooking the relaxing marina.

In the centre of the room lies a large glass dining table with six stylish chairs; a beautiful setting for brunches and dinners.

The modern kitchen with wooden units and sleek counter tops provides everything you could possibly need to rustle up indulgent feasts, with an electric hob and oven, full size fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. You’ll find an all-important Tassimo coffee machine for wake-me-up moments.

Just off the main hub of the home is a WC as you head towards the second staircase.

As you climb the stairs, continue straight ahead to Bedroom 2, adorned with cushions and throws in shades of green, promises of a comfy super King-sized bed and Cotswold style bedside tables, wardrobe and chest of draws awaits. Spy the captivating view of the marina out of the bedroom window whilst you enjoy a well-deserved lie in. The en-suite comprises of a shower over bath, toilet, heated towel rail and wash basin.

Towards the back of the property is Bedroom 3 – resplendent in navy and grey, it has a plush super King-sized bed with plenty of hanging space for clothing, a cosy sofa and serene views of the trees opposite. The en-suite comprises of a slate-grey tiled shower room featuring a large walk-in shower, toilet and wash basin with mirror.

Nestled on the edge of Bowness on Windermere, this escape for six is a wonderful lakeside getaway overlooking the delightful marina. Light, bright interiors offer stylish, scandi charm, whilst you’re just a 10 minute walk to excellent eateries, shops and Lake District attractions.

Fabulous long weekend with the family. Townhouse 4 was perfect base to get out and about . Beautifully decorated . Two balconys overlooking marina which we had good weather to use. Highly recommend .

Everything about this stay was exceptional! We had 3 dogs and 2 elderly mobility impaired members of the family with us but everything worked really well. We hired 2 mobility scooters that the front office very kindly held for us and it is so dog friendly around the marina. The appartment was immaculate and very spacious well appointed very comfortable with lovely morning sun on the balconies. It really helped that we could park the car right up to the front door too. Thank you

Needs some TLC

Road is disgraceful to the one and only exit/entry barrier. Was far easier using the other barriers. Boiler noisy in upstairs airing cupboard (Im sure other houses had the boiler in the garage?)Didnt like all of the old redundant switch fittings left throughout the houseCracked wobbly paving outsideWater pressure poor in all bathrooms. Downstairs en-suite has rusty shelves in the shower cubicle and chunks of grout missing from floor tiles. Bath was cracked.Sky was playing up and BBC1 and ITV not available. Good to have Sky cinema but would like to have had the ability to watch normal channels.No egg cups or champagne glasses.No access to gym facilities anymore and no thought about informing previous guests of its removal. Unfortunately, we suffered from a flat tyre at our visit last year so didnt make it through to use the gym. Luckily, something made me check at our recent stay and Im told the membership was cancelled a couple of years ago.Customer Service score is based on the systems in place rather than a criticism of any individuals. I received an email saying someone would ring to take the security deposit. Then I received a text asking me to ring the office to pay the security deposit. Apparently down to a change in procedure but not good customer service. Also the situation with the gym - good customer service would have made sure people were made aware.

Dear ChristineThank you for taking the time to send feedback following your recent stay.We operate one entry and exit to site for the safety and security of customers, the other barriers that you refer to were a temporary installation whilst construction and marina works took place. As this work has now been completed this access point has reverted for pedestrians only. Unfortunately this work has left the road in one area requiring some repairs which are being completed over the coming weeks.I have raised the issues with the water pressure, boiler, bathrooms and television channels with the maintenance team, the onsite team would of certainly looked into this is you had mentioned it during your stay. Unfortunately use of the leisure facilities hasnt been available to rental guests since 2021 due to the lack of suitable facilities in the area. Customers that stayed in the months after this were informed but Im afraid we no longer make reference to this on our website or reservations.Please accept my apologies for the confusion with the communication regarding security deposit, we have now reworded the email.I hope that we can welcome you back to Windermere Marina Village again in the future.Best RegardsHannah

If we can resell the break that you had booked you will be entitled to a refund less a cancellation fee.

Do I pay a deposit when I book? When do I pay the balance?

A deposit of a third is taken at the time of booking, the remaining balance is due 6 weeks before arrival – you will receive a reminder email 24 hours before the balance payment is due.

When is Reception open?

Reception is open each day between 9am and 5.30pm, after this time an emergency contact can be found on the reception door or in your property information

Can I check in before 4pm or check out after 10am?

Unfortunately we don’t offer an early check in or late check out option.

Can I park my car before check in and after check out?

On your arrival day and departure day you are welcome to park onsite. Before check in just call into reception to register with us. When you check out let reception know you will be leaving your car so we can give you access through the security barrier when you leave. 

Can I arrive after 5.30pm or check out before 9am

Yes, we can arrange to leave your property keys in a secure key safe for you to collect. Please contact reception on 015394 46551 before 5pm on your arrival day to arrange this.
 
If you are leaving before reception opens just drop your keys in the key drop off box located outside reception.

What if I have a specific question about a property?

Our onsite reservation team are happy to answer any queries that you may have before or after booking your stay with us – email info@wmv.co.uk or call 015394 46551, they are available 7 days a week between 9am and 5.30pm.

Is parking available? How do we access Windermere Marina Village?

Each apartment has at least one allocated parking space close by, a second car can be parked onsite but spaces cannot be reserved.
 
You will receive 2 fobs for the security barriers that control vehicular access at Windermere Marina Village for the duration of your stay – if you will have more than 2 cars please contact reception prior to your arrival to discuss your requirements.

Do you have EV charging points?

Guests staying in 6,8 and 22 Marina View have use of the EV chargers in the apartment parking garage.
For guests in other properties EV charging is currently not available. The nearest charging points are at Booths supermarket in Windermere

What is provided in the apartment?

All of the beds will be made with linen for your arrival, if your property has a pull down bed in the living area the bedding for this will be in the wardrobe. A bath sheet and hand towel are provided per person for the maximum occupancy of your property.
 
Toilet roll, kitchen roll, bin liners, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, dish cloth, sponge, tea towels and oven glove are all supplied. If your property has a coffee pod machine one pod per person is provided.
 
We don’t supply any food, drink, toiletries or detergent for the washing machine.

Do you have pet friendly properties?

Selected properties allow 2 dogs per booking, a charge of £40 per dog applies.
Windward Townhouse 4 allows 3 dogs per booking.

We regret that we don’t accept cats in any properties.

How do I pay my security deposit, what is it for and when will it be returned?

We ask all guests for a security deposit, pre-authorised against your credit or debit card. This is in case there is any damage caused to the property, you lose the property keys during your stay or if you break any of the booking conditions that were agreed to at the time of booking.
The money is simply reserved and then released afterwards, this will be within 10 days of your departure. The transaction will not show as a sale or refund – it will appear as a pending transaction until it is released.
We will contact you a few days prior to your arrival to request card details, alternatively you are welcome to call us in the week leading up to your arrival.

Can I extend my holiday?

Extensions to bookings may be available dependent on property availability. To check availability please contact our reservations team.

Do you have cots and high chairs?

Travel Cots are available to hire for £7 with linen included. Please note the mattress provided in the travel cot is the standard one as supplied. Thicker or additional mattresses are not available. High chairs including straps are available to hire for £5.

Is there a supermarket nearby / Can I book a supermarket delivery?

The nearest shop is Tesco Express in Bowness where you’ll also find a Co-Op further up the hill. A larger Booths supermarket is in Windermere with free parking – postcode LA23 1QA
 
Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Asda offer a home delivery service to Windermere Marina Village. Please ensure you arrange for delivery after you have checked in as we are unable to accept food deliveries on your behalf. All properties are located via a security barrier – please speak to reception on arrival for delivery access.

Can I walk in to Bowness On Windermere from Windermere Marina Village?

Yes! Bowness On Windermere is a 15 to 20 minute walk from Windermere Marina Village.  A lake shore path takes you into the village, you can pick up a map from reception.

Can I have a parcel delivered?

Reception are happy to accept parcel deliveries between 9am and 5pm. We recommend that you do not use your property address as couriers are unable to access site. Parcels must be collected from reception – please include the lead booking name on the delivery address. Windermere Marina Village, Bowness on Windermere, Cumbria, LA23 3JQ and let reception know you are expecting a delivery.

Can I bring a boat or hire a boat?

A small number of holiday moorings are available with holiday properties. These are subject to availability and charges apply. Please call the reservations team to discuss before booking your accommodation.
 
Windermere Wakesurfing offer tuition and charter from Windermere Marina – please contact them directly for further information.
Horizon Charter offer luxury boat charter on Windermere for up to 10 people, guests of Windermere Marina Village receive a 10% discount on all bookings. Please quote your booking ID to validate the discount.

All other boats at Windermere Marina Village are privately owned and are not available for hire or charter.

Can I bring a canoe / SUP / rowing boat?

For safety reasons we don’t allow unpowered craft in the marina – customers are welcome to access Windermere Lake from our small beach / BBQ area but all equipment must be stored in your property or vehicle when not in use.

Can I BBQ at my holiday property?

For safety reasons and consideration of others BBQs are not permitted at holiday rental properties. There are permanent BBQ stations available at the beach area – you will need to bring all equipment with you. Reservations are not permitted – the BBQs and seating are not guaranteed.
