Make the most of your time on the magical waters of Lake Windermere by bringing your own boat along for a truly special getaway. Our holiday moorings at Windermere Marina Village offer the perfect opportunity to enjoy the lake from the water — and what better way to arrive than in your own boat?
Our holiday moorings can accommodate boats up to 8 metres in length, with a maximum draft of 1 metre. Currently, moorings are available exclusively to guests staying in holiday accommodation at Windermere Marina Village.
Availability during the summer months is extremely limited, so we recommend contacting our reservations team to check mooring availability before booking your accommodation.

Enjoy the added convenience of a serviced berth within the Marina Village, providing a private and secure base for your boat. With access to our slipway, launching and recovering your boat is simple and hassle-free, giving you more time to enjoy everything Windermere has to offer.
When making your booking, we kindly ask you to provide a copy of your fully comprehensive boat insurance, along with your lake registration number.
All power boats must be registered annually with the Lake District National Park Authority to operate on Windermere. Further information, including registration details, application guidance and current fees, can be found here.
