Welcome to 16 Marina View at Windermere Marina Village. A luxuriously modern third floor apartment, comfortably sleeping 4 and complete with breath-taking marina and Lakeland fell views. Nestled in a quiet corner of Bowness on Windermere, could this be the perfect retreat for all your Lake District adventures?

Make your way up to the third floor via the lift, hang up your coat and leave your muddy boots behind. Light, bright and cosy all at once; step through into the spacious yes cosy apartment.

Wander through into the modern and airy open-plan kitchen-diner, a stylish space fitted with wood effect cabinetry and fully furnished for all your culinary pursuits. Treat yourself to a creamy coffee from the Nespresso machine, or whip up some delectable appetisers, pour bubbly for your loved ones, and unwind around the dining table.

Beyond the kitchen-diner is the contemporary lounge. Curl up on the cosy sofa; the perfect place to be after a long day on the hills. Spend your evening relaxing, watching TV or enjoying a board game with the whole family.

Slide open the floor to ceiling bi-fold doors and step out on to the private west facing balcony to enjoy breakfast alfresco on the bistro dining table.

Retreat back to the entrance hall to discover what else 16 Marina View has to offer. Sneak a peek at the twin bedroom straight ahead of you, a sumptuous space with gorgeous natural light and Lake District prints that adorn the walls. The room is completed by a wall-mounted TV, dressing table and wardrobe.

Next door you’ll find the sleek and stylish slate grey family bathroom, fitted with a sink, waterfall shower over bath tub and large mirror. Soak those aching feet from a day of fun-filled activities in a huge bubble bath with a glass of wine and a book… sounds dreamy right?

Lastly, discover the Master Bedroom - a gorgeous room serenely decorated in tones of sage grey, black and white Lake District artwork, a 50” TV and a colour pop occasional chair. This room boasts its own gleaming en-suite complete with a walk-in rainfall shower. Enjoy the cosy peace and quiet of this room, as the morning sun filters in through the marina view window.

There is one allocated covered car parking space is available in the garage area under the apartment block. Should you need an extra space, there are unreserved spaces available onsite.

Located in the heart of Bowness on Windermere, perfectly placed for the vibrant cafe bars and restaurants in the heart of the village. The world of Beatrix potter is just a ten-minute stroll away, along with Bowness escape rooms and an abundance of shops and activities. Take a walk up Brantfell, just a 20-minute stroll from your front door or take the lakeside walk around Cockshott Point.

Lovely apartment

This is a lovely apartment, a good size, well appointed and in a nice location. The balcony is also a nice size and perhaps a quarter of it has cover from the the balcony above which is handy in wet weather. The view of the marina is the icing on the cake. We had a minor mishap and were impressed by how quickly it was sorted. Reception is well run, friendly and all are keen to help. Although not a commment on the apartment, I will mention that we hired a mobility scooter for my wife but seemingly only had the choice of a boot scooter or a large one. We generally try and get a mid size one, small enough to get in the apartment but large enough for range and comfort. This time we hired a boot one and it was barely adequate for this location. I mention this as an aside for anyone with mobility issues. Overall a very nice place to base a stay in this area.

We were very impressed with this apartment which comes with a fantastic car parking space. It was beautifully presented and we enjoyed every moment in the property . Although it was a little further out of Bowness than we usually stay, the walk to town was very pleasant via easy to access paths or along the edge of the lake in the day. The food in the on-site restaurant was very good. It is busy so you need to book. Looking forward to making a return to the village.well worth a stay here.

Our apartment was on the 3rd floor & had a lift to take all our bags up . The apartment was so clean & had everything you need for a comfortable stay . We had a very large balcony & even managed to sit on the balcony & have drinks in November . The bar on site is nice & serves food & seemed very busy . Great location & you could leave your car there for your duration & do lots of walks & walk into Bowness . Would highly recommend & was a lovely weekend

Very good apartment with great views over the marina. All facilities are of high quality and everything is well appointed. There is a pleasant walk by the lake into Bowness where there are lovely shops and easy access to lake activities. Would highly recommend the Beatrix Potter Museum and the Motor museum for children. All in all an excellent place to stay for easy access to the Lake District

We visit the lakes 3-4 a year and have stayed in the marina a few times before. We decided to stay in the new build apartments and have did not regretted a single thing The apartment was outstanding. From the view across the marina, the allocated car bay underneath the building and the modern appliances I can not recommend enoughThe apartment is spotlessly clean, bathrooms and showers are very powerful, WiFi and entertainment is fast with 60 inch tvs in every room Its very cosy and homely with small touches such as decent pillows, nice art in the walls, very comfortable beds, and a kitchen which is fully loaded with modern appliances Apartments even has a lift making it easy when arriving and leaving for your luggage

Absolutely amazing apartment that was spotlessly clean on arrival. Location on the Marina was fantastic, from watching the boats coming in & out on the balcony, to a short walk into Bowness with all the conveniences it has to offer. We come to the lakes every year multiple times and would definitely stay here again!

Overall very good ...extremely well appointed, lovely afternoon and evening sun to the balcony. I would book againTwo comments for potential improvement:It is good to have a lift, but something needs to be done about the clear glass outer lift door. Whereas the inner door opens automatically.... you are faced with outer door of clear glass that has to be pushed open . It is not obvious that there is this second door and consequently it is possible step right into the clear glass.I did point this out to the office staff and suggested that there should be a 'line of sight' sign to make it clear that there is a door there to avoid walking into it......full marks to whoever keeps the glass so clean that it is not obviousSecondly, again reported to the office ...the TV fails to show BBC 1 , 2 etc...fixed same day reported, but failed again after a few hours..reported again but not fixed .....these are helpful channels for local news and weather

Brilliant base of operations in the Lake District

The apartment itself was second to none. It was perfect for our young family, lovely, modern, clean, with all the amenities you could need. The balcony overlooking the marina was wonderful when it was sunny. Really superb stay, wouldnt have any problem recommending it to others (in fact, I already have!) Thanks team!

Do I pay a deposit when I book? When do I pay the balance?

When is Reception open?

Reception is open each day between 9am and 5.30pm, after this time an emergency contact can be found on the reception door or in your property information

Can I check in before 4pm or check out after 10am?

Unfortunately we don’t offer an early check in or late check out option.

Can I park my car before check in and after check out?

On your arrival day and departure day you are welcome to park onsite. Before check in just call into reception to register with us. When you check out let reception know you will be leaving your car so we can give you access through the security barrier when you leave. 

Can I arrive after 5.30pm or check out before 9am

Yes, we can arrange to leave your property keys in a secure key safe for you to collect. Please contact reception on 015394 46551 before 5pm on your arrival day to arrange this.
 
If you are leaving before reception opens just drop your keys in the key drop off box located outside reception.

What if I have a specific question about a property?

Our onsite reservation team are happy to answer any queries that you may have before or after booking your stay with us – email info@wmv.co.uk or call 015394 46551, they are available 7 days a week between 9am and 5.30pm.

Is parking available? How do we access Windermere Marina Village?

Each apartment has at least one allocated parking space close by, a second car can be parked onsite but spaces cannot be reserved.
 
You will receive 2 fobs for the security barriers that control vehicular access at Windermere Marina Village for the duration of your stay – if you will have more than 2 cars please contact reception prior to your arrival to discuss your requirements.

Do you have EV charging points?

Guests staying in 6,8 and 22 Marina View have use of the EV chargers in the apartment parking garage.
For guests in other properties EV charging is currently not available. The nearest charging points are at Booths supermarket in Windermere

What is provided in the apartment?

All of the beds will be made with linen for your arrival, if your property has a pull down bed in the living area the bedding for this will be in the wardrobe. A bath sheet and hand towel are provided per person for the maximum occupancy of your property.
 
Toilet roll, kitchen roll, bin liners, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, dish cloth, sponge, tea towels and oven glove are all supplied. If your property has a coffee pod machine one pod per person is provided.
 
We don’t supply any food, drink, toiletries or detergent for the washing machine.

Do you have pet friendly properties?

Selected properties allow 2 dogs per booking, a charge of £40 per dog applies.
Windward Townhouse 4 allows 3 dogs per booking.

We regret that we don’t accept cats in any properties.

How do I pay my security deposit, what is it for and when will it be returned?

We ask all guests for a security deposit, pre-authorised against your credit or debit card. This is in case there is any damage caused to the property, you lose the property keys during your stay or if you break any of the booking conditions that were agreed to at the time of booking.
The money is simply reserved and then released afterwards, this will be within 10 days of your departure. The transaction will not show as a sale or refund – it will appear as a pending transaction until it is released.
We will contact you a few days prior to your arrival to request card details, alternatively you are welcome to call us in the week leading up to your arrival.

Can I extend my holiday?

Extensions to bookings may be available dependent on property availability. To check availability please contact our reservations team.

Do you have cots and high chairs?

Travel Cots are available to hire for £7 with linen included. Please note the mattress provided in the travel cot is the standard one as supplied. Thicker or additional mattresses are not available. High chairs including straps are available to hire for £5.

Is there a supermarket nearby / Can I book a supermarket delivery?

The nearest shop is Tesco Express in Bowness where you’ll also find a Co-Op further up the hill. A larger Booths supermarket is in Windermere with free parking – postcode LA23 1QA
 
Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Asda offer a home delivery service to Windermere Marina Village. Please ensure you arrange for delivery after you have checked in as we are unable to accept food deliveries on your behalf. All properties are located via a security barrier – please speak to reception on arrival for delivery access.

Can I walk in to Bowness On Windermere from Windermere Marina Village?

Yes! Bowness On Windermere is a 15 to 20 minute walk from Windermere Marina Village.  A lake shore path takes you into the village, you can pick up a map from reception.

Can I have a parcel delivered?

Reception are happy to accept parcel deliveries between 9am and 5pm. We recommend that you do not use your property address as couriers are unable to access site. Parcels must be collected from reception – please include the lead booking name on the delivery address. Windermere Marina Village, Bowness on Windermere, Cumbria, LA23 3JQ and let reception know you are expecting a delivery.

Can I bring a boat or hire a boat?

A small number of holiday moorings are available with holiday properties. These are subject to availability and charges apply. Please call the reservations team to discuss before booking your accommodation.
 
Windermere Wakesurfing offer tuition and charter from Windermere Marina – please contact them directly for further information.
Horizon Charter offer luxury boat charter on Windermere for up to 10 people, guests of Windermere Marina Village receive a 10% discount on all bookings. Please quote your booking ID to validate the discount.

All other boats at Windermere Marina Village are privately owned and are not available for hire or charter.

Can I bring a canoe / SUP / rowing boat?

For safety reasons we don’t allow unpowered craft in the marina – customers are welcome to access Windermere Lake from our small beach / BBQ area but all equipment must be stored in your property or vehicle when not in use.

Can I BBQ at my holiday property?

For safety reasons and consideration of others BBQs are not permitted at holiday rental properties. There are permanent BBQ stations available at the beach area – you will need to bring all equipment with you. Reservations are not permitted – the BBQs and seating are not guaranteed.
