Canoe Safari with Dr Ellie Mackay

9th May – 10th May

Join us in the all-new canoe safari experience! Dr Mackay offers a new and unique opportunity to explore the lake while learning about the science that shaped it.

As you wade your way across the water, Dr Mackay will explore how Windermere was formed during the last Ice Age, what’s in the lake’s mud that can tell us about the past habitat, and how temperature changes affect the lake’s wildlife.

Along the way you’ll explore what’s growing in the lake, discover who’s eating what, and learn about Windermere’s top predators!
