For a car free day explore the quieter side of Windermere with Claife Viewing Station, Wray Castle and Beatrix Potters ‘Hilltop’ Cottage. The western side of Windermere is easily accessed by the chain ferry which operates from just outside Windermere Marina Village and runs every 20 minutes across the water.
