An Exclusive Look at Windward Apartment 19
If you’re searching for comfort and luxury in the Lake District, then perhaps your search will end with our stunning apartment, Windward 19. Our luxury self-catering accommodation in the Lake District is designed with you in mind, with sofas that you will love to sink into and a balcony that you’ll no doubt be dining on.
Today, we’re unveiling Windward Apartment 19’s best secrets, so read on to find out why it’s the perfect choice when visiting the Lakes in the upcoming month…
A Sofa to Sink Into…
Sunlight streams into this delightful living space through the patio’s double doors which overlook a marina full of yachts. This room is decorated in a manner that suggests peace and relaxation through natural colours with lots of natural light. It’s not just our eye for colour that makes this space so lovely, though; we have added plenty of cushions with your comfort in mind, as well as a matching blanket to snuggle up under during some late-night TV.
As well as the beautiful sofas, we have a couple of coffee tables where you can rest your late-night brews. You can also close the thick curtains for a sense of cosy privacy, should you wish to shut the outside world out for a while, though we assure you that the marina is just as beautiful during the late hours as it is under the sun.
The dining table is situated behind the living space in this open plan apartment so that you can choose to watch the television during your meal. The table seats four people which is the maximum number of adults who can sleep in this apartment, but there is space for a high chair or two if you want to bring along a small child. We also supply travel cots for £7 per stay, meanwhile, a high chair will cost you £5 per stay. Request these before your arrival for a smooth arrival experience.
A Kitchen with All the Essentials…
Backing onto the open plan living-dining room is the kitchen. Complete with toaster, kettle, cafetière, four-ring electric hob, oven and separate microwave, this kitchen has everything you need to enjoy catering for yourself in Windermere. We will also have all the appropriate cooking equipment and crockery that you might need during your stay.
You can bring your own food and drinks as this apartment is self-catering, but we will welcome you into the apartment with some complimentary tea and coffee supplies. We recommend making the most of Windward 19 by taking the first brew of your stay on the balcony…
A Balcony to Recline On…
Your balcony is big enough for four, and with Windward 19, you will be treated to a spectacular, unrestricted view of the stunning marina. This balcony is perfect for eating your breakfast from as you watch the boats come and go or enjoying a late-night tipple as the sun sets over the marina. In the distance you are treated to a view of the hills that surround Windermere, whilst the calming and tranquil waters of Lake Windermere are just a stone’s throw away from you.
A Bedroom, or Two…
Windward 19 has a master bedroom and a second bedroom. The master bedroom takes up most of the second floor, along with the en-suite, main bathroom and some extra storage space. The master bedroom is huge and individualistic with its sloping roof and skylight windows. We wanted to maximise the natural light coming in through these windows, so we use light colours to reflect the light and make the most of this spacious room.
The master room is accented with some romantic red touches, such as the two armchairs, bedside lamps and a counterpane that can be removed in the summer months. This room is perfectly styled to provide our visitors with all the warm comforts they could wish for, including an en-suite bathroom with a WC, sink and shower. The main bathroom, which can be used by all four adults, or designated to the adults using the second bedroom contains a bath instead of a shower for those who prefer a long soak.
The second bedroom lacks the size of the master bedroom, but it succeeds in feeling cosy rather than small. You shouldn’t find any disputes beyond who gets the master bedroom here, and if you do, you will just have to visit again in the future and use different rooms! Returning to the second bedroom, this room has a very clean and bright feeling behind its decoration. Worth noting is the beautiful light fittings which really add a sense of sparkle to your stay.
