- Bowness to Cockshott Point – this 2km (1.2 mile) walk is popular with tourists who visit the area. Located on the southern edge of Bowness Bay, it is the perfect area for a stroll to watch the sun set.
- Windermere’s Western Shore – this is a longer walk, covering 9km (5.5 miles). Adventuring through woodland and parkland, you can experience the wonderful views of the islands.
- Red Nab to Wray Castle – covering 5km (3.1 miles) this walk takes you along the wooded shoreline of Windermere, bringing you to the beautiful setting of Wray Castle.
- Brockhole – this is the shortest route, covering 1.5km (0.9 miles). This short walk takes you around the beautiful grounds of Brockhole, the Lake District Visitor Centre. The visitor centre offers numerous attractions, including woodland and meadow trails, adventure playground and a famous walled garden.
