The 2019 Windermere Boat & Adventure Show

Taking place on the 17th, 18th and 19th of May, the Windermere Boat Show is a fun, family event that has been drawing tourists to Windermere since first beginning in 2016.

Since then, the Windermere Boat Show has solidified its position as a popular tourist event enjoyed by many from around the country. It’s a day by the water not to be missed and here at Windermere Marina Village, we are looking forward to a brilliant weekend down by the water.

Whether you are staying to visit the show or with us for just a Lake District weekend away, this article will tell you everything you need to know about the upcoming show.

EXHIBITORS

In 2018, the Windermere Boat Show celebrated nearly fifty exhibitors and activity providers. This makes it an important weekend for dealers in boats and boating accessories to connect with clientele, but it is also a fantastic weekend for enthusiasts to see the latest technology and equipment associated with their hobby, all by the beauty of Lake Windermere.

Below, we discuss a few exhibitors who have showcased at previous Windermere Boat Shows who may return for the 2019 event.

Bay Sea School

Guided by the Royal Yachting Association, the courses offered by the Bay Sea School range from beginner to expert. At the exhibition, you will have the opportunity to chat with the friendly and knowledgeable Bay Sea School about how you can further your boating expertise and even book a course or two for the future.

Bowness Bay Brewing

This team will be supporting the event with their fantastic ales. They state that their hand-crafted beers are inspired by their surroundings so you can expect ‘awesome, majestic, rugged, strong and beautiful’ beverages when you stop by this stall.

Food in the Fells

Many people agree that most food taste better outside! This could be linked to the idea that we eat with our eyes first, and if this is true then surely the more pleasing your surroundings are then the more enjoyable your dining experience will be. This must mean that an outdoors lunch or dinner enjoyed in Windermere is a fantastic experience not to be missed – luckily for you, Food in the Fells will be available throughout the boat show.

Sea Shepherd UK

Sea Shepherd is a marine wildlife conservation organisation that has been established since 1977 and has been growing ever since. If you care about the state of our oceans and want to learn more or even lend a hand, these are the people that you need to talk to.

Windermere Canoe & Kayak

With a greater focus on activity at the 2019 Boat Show, Windermere Canoe & Kayak will be providing free tasters on Stand Up Paddleboards (SUPs) and canoes this year. This business has a large focus on sailing and stocks a range of respected brands and even has demo boats available.

Windermere Marina Village

Windermere Marina Village have supported the Windermere Boat Show from the very beginning. Whether it’s a chat about our hoiliday properties or boat moorings we’ll be pleased to chat through the options available for you.

Our visitor moorings can hold yachts, motor or day boats

If you are interested in mooring your own boat with us during your next stay, then please consider our various packages for sailing enthusiasts. If you will be sleeping ashore for your stay, we charge £20/night for your mooring in addition to your self catering accommodation in Windermere.

If you are staying onboard but would like to use Windermere Marina Village’s beautiful facilities, then we will charge £85 for the first two nights followed by a rate of £30 per night.

NEW TO 2019

The Windermere Boat & Adventure Show is dedicated to improvement and growth, which means that we will be welcoming four new names in 2019, including ACE Canoes, Cranchi, Fyne Boat Kits and Ting Dene Marinas & Boat Sales.

If you are planning on attending the 2019 Windermere Boat Show, then congratulations because you are in for a fantastic weekend. You are going to want to share it with your friends later, so be sure to take lots of pictures. You can get in on the conversation online through #WindermereBoatShow.
