Spotlight On The Boathouse Bar & Restaurant

The Lake District is home to some of the greatest culinary experiences in the entire country.

This is no exception at Windermere Marina, where the onsite restaurant, The Boathouse Bar & Restaurant, regularly showcases some of these culinary delights.

The Boathouse has recently implemented some fresh spring updates – take a look below at some of these exciting changes.

The Restaurant

The Boathouse Bar & Restaurant, which has recently seen a redecoration over both floors, is a team effort between owners Ben Ashworth and Geoff Perrygrove, who have cultivated their vision for a welcoming bar and restaurant.

Visitors can expect a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a casual drink or meal at any time of day.

The restaurant overlooks Windermere Marina, providing the perfect setting for a lovely meal with those closest to you, and the bar welcomes dogs too.

The fantastic terrace can be enjoyed by all throughout the year and is extremely popular in the season to watch the sunset over the beautiful marina.

Tantalizing Tastes

The extensive locally sourced menu boasts delicious, homemade meals, and with years of industry experience, head chef Ben has updated the already tantalizing menu.

Their lunch menu is made up of warming traditional portions or toasted ciabatta rolls, filled with local fresh produce.

The dining menu is formed around delicious dishes well made. A popular dish, the sweet dry cured pork sirloin steak, consists of a locally sourced and cured pork sirloin steak, char-grilled pineapple, fresh hand cut chips, watercress, wholegrain mustard sauce, and finished with a fried duck egg.

With a range of options to suit all palates, the restaurant offers seating with views directly overlooking spectacular Windermere Marina – don’t forget to book though, as these seats are the first to go!

Super Sounds

In addition to the wide variety of drinks and the scrumptious menu, The Boathouse Bar & Restaurant also has an exciting entertainment schedule.

With live band renditions and lively covers of 70’s to 00’s hits, the programme of acts bring a lively atmosphere to the bar. Check out the link above for more information and dates.
