Cartmel

Wednesday 5th August

Enjoy a fantastic family day out at Cartmel Show, one of Cumbria’s most popular agricultural events. The event showcases an impressive range of livestock competitions, with cattle, sheep, horses, rabbits and more all competing for prizes and rosettes.

Sample delicious local produce in the food hall, pick up tips from acclaimed chefs in the Food Theatre, and experience the excitement of traditional Cumberland and Westmorland wrestling.

There’s plenty to keep younger visitors entertained too, with activities including archery, circus skills, bouncy castles, birds of prey displays, and fascinating creepy-crawly encounters. Browse a variety of trade stands offering locally made gifts, clothing, homewares, and outdoor goods, enjoy live music, and admire the creativity on display in the horticulture and Village Industries marquees.
